Sunrise at Durdle Door

For about 6 weeks of the year the morning sun rise at Durdle Door can be seen through the arch.  This has become an incredibly poplar spectacle; it’s a tricky shot to get right because you want some cloud to give you colour but not too much so as to block the wonderful sun burst you can get.  I have shot this several times and never quite managed the perfect shot but this is my favourite of them all.  Sadly now its become far too much of an iconic shot and the beach is filled with people trampling in the foreground and jostling for the shot.  This is not my idea of fun or what photography should be about so doubt I will ever re-visit this location but some great memories all the same.
